Weeknds full of Nothing

Josh and I were talking this weekend about how all week long we can't wait for the weekend and then we do nothing. He said what is so good about the weekend if we do not do anything. When I say anything we mean basketball game Friday night, birthday party Saturday, out to eat Saturday night and church on Sunday. I explained to Josh that I look forward to the weekend even if we do not do anything because I get to spend time with him and Jaxon. I love getting up on Saturday morning and not having to immediately start getting ready to go some where. I enjoy morning time with my precious little boy because most mornings it feels as though I just barely have enough time to scoop him out of the bed, change his diapers and clothes and then out the door we go. I love not being rushed on the weekends and not having to be anywhere on time. If we decide to do something we do not have to rush, just go at our own pace and enjoy. If I have learned nothing else in my life I will always remember that we are not promised tomorrow and that we should live everyday as though it could be our last- because it very well could be. In the everyday rush of life I always thank God for my many blessings and the breathe he gave me this morning. Life is so short and we take it for granted!

With all that being said I enjoy the weekends because we do nothing, but spend time together. When my life is over I want to have so many memories of time with my family and friends. This coming weekend- Birthday party Friday night, my niece dancing in the Mistle Toe Fair Saturday morning. Best of all an old friend from college days- Ken and his family are coming through Texarkana Saturday afternoon and they are going to stop and visit. I am so excited- Ken and Erin are the sweetest couple and they have 9 month old twin girls that are adorable. I have not had the pleasure of meeting the girls at all and have not seen Erin since their wedding which was 2 years ago. So I am ecstatic to have them come visit and let all our little people meet. Haha Also, I cannot leave off church nursery Sunday morning. All in all I cannot wait for another weekend.

Halloween Pics

We took Jaxon to the Fall Festival at our church. He had a really good time watching all the other kids and he enjoyed the bouncy house. We also took him to the grandparents' house to trick or treat (off course he his not getting all that candy, but mommy and daddy are enjoying it).

O so Busy!

Let me start by saying "I hate rushing all the time!" That is exactly what I feel like I do. I never take time to relax and not rush to the next appt., work, etc... I even find myself eating my food really fast when I am not even in a hurry. Then I stop myself and try and slow down. With that being said we have been really busy around the Thomas house lately. So finally this weekend we did not do anything and just relaxed. It was extremely nice to not have to be anywhere and Sat. I did not even leave the house. ha- I loved it!!! On Friday Jaxon started his third antibiotic, hopefully this one will knock out this viral infection he has had. Last week the fair was in town and we took Jaxon out there twice. He absolutely loved the fair, mostly because he loves to be outside and we rode a few ride and he enjoyed that! Anyways we just got a new laptop so I will be getting some new pics and video up soon.

Update on the Wilson baby
He had open heart surgery last week. They got everything fixed and he made it through the surgery. Still keep this family in your prayers they have a really long road ahaead of them!

Everybody is Sick!

Everyone in the Thomas House is either currently sick or has been sick. Josh was sick with the crud about a week ago. Then Jaxon started feeling bad last Friday. Of course the Friday before a three-day weekend. Which always kinda scares me because I always think we would have to go to the ER because the pediatrician's office would not be open. So we made it through the weekend and he really didn't get bad until Monday night. So Monday night we were up until around 4 because he could not breathe very well and just coughing, sneezing basically the works. Anyways so he finally passed out around 4 and then I called in sick to work and took him to the Dr. I was completely exhausted from not getting any sleep and then Tuesday morning I also was not feeling very good. Jaxon had an infection and he is now on antibiotics and so am I. We both are starting to feel better and he only got up one time last night- woo hooo! Also I have a prayer requests a couple that used to go to our church and we still keep in touch through mutual friends are going through some difficult times. They are pregnant with their 2nd child and having some major problems. She is going to deliver in a couple of weeks in Little Rock and as of right now they know the baby has double cleft palates and major heart problems. Please please keep this family (The Wilson's) in your prayers.

Been BUSY!!!

Wow, it amazes me at how fast time can fly! I have not posted in about 3 weeks, we have pretty busy at the Thomas House. Jaxon is not officially 10 months old and is teething like crazy. He has had his bottom two teeth since he was 5 months, but last weekend one of his upper front teeth and upper eye teeth broke through. Also the other two up top are trying to come through along with his two lower eye teeth. He is so close to walking too. I can't believe he is almost 1 year old, I have been working on invitations and other things for a party. We are so blessed- words cannot express the love I have or feel for my child. In the fast pace of life it is so easy to forget how much we need to be thankful for, ( the air we are breathing or for tomorrow because we are not promised those things- and they are so easily taken for granted!) School is about to start so of course that means that I am extremely busy at work and it probably will not slow down for a while.
On a good note- my necklaces are doing extremely well. This past weekend I had 25 orders that I got made. So far since yesterday when I delivered all the previous orders another 13 placed new orders. woo hoo!!! The necklaces are doing way better than I had originally thought they would. I am also organizing the baby dedication at our church next month. Which will be a huge one consisting of roughly 17 kids. So needless to say I kinda feel like I am being pulled in many different directions. Hope everyone is doing well and I will try and get some pics up soon!!!!
