Been BUSY!!!

Wow, it amazes me at how fast time can fly! I have not posted in about 3 weeks, we have pretty busy at the Thomas House. Jaxon is not officially 10 months old and is teething like crazy. He has had his bottom two teeth since he was 5 months, but last weekend one of his upper front teeth and upper eye teeth broke through. Also the other two up top are trying to come through along with his two lower eye teeth. He is so close to walking too. I can't believe he is almost 1 year old, I have been working on invitations and other things for a party. We are so blessed- words cannot express the love I have or feel for my child. In the fast pace of life it is so easy to forget how much we need to be thankful for, ( the air we are breathing or for tomorrow because we are not promised those things- and they are so easily taken for granted!) School is about to start so of course that means that I am extremely busy at work and it probably will not slow down for a while.
On a good note- my necklaces are doing extremely well. This past weekend I had 25 orders that I got made. So far since yesterday when I delivered all the previous orders another 13 placed new orders. woo hoo!!! The necklaces are doing way better than I had originally thought they would. I am also organizing the baby dedication at our church next month. Which will be a huge one consisting of roughly 17 kids. So needless to say I kinda feel like I am being pulled in many different directions. Hope everyone is doing well and I will try and get some pics up soon!!!!

Teeth and Necklaces

Well when we went for Jaxon's 9month check up the doc mentioned we needed to start bushing his teeth (both of them!) So below are some pics of us attempting to brush his teeth for the first time. It actually went pretty well he kinda liked it and thought it was fun! He would pull away and then really cautiously leaned back in and open his mouth back up. You will notice there is no toothbrush the little kit came with this thing I put of my finger and some toothpaste.

Next, I have been working on a project that I am finished with. I am really proud of myself because I did not think they would turn out this well. I am going to try and sell them. It has been so far making them. I made five different ones to get started and below are some pics. Let me know what you think of them!

Sleepless Nights are Kicking my butt!!!

For those of you who do not know- Jaxon does not sleep all night!!! Yikes, I know after nine long months I am not sure how much more I can take. I am so exhausted by the weekend that all I want to do is catch up on my sleep. We have tried everything from letting him cry, keeping him up later, feeding him when he wakes and nothing seems to help. He wakes us on average twice a night. He usually will go in 3-4 hour spans. I know that he can sleep all night I just do not know what to do to make this happen. So I welcome any suggestions or helpful hints. Please send them my way!!!

Weekend News

We had a pretty low key weekend. First I got some pics of Jaxon playing with the doggy door. I have been waiting for this day and after nine long months he finally found it. Although I was surprised that he did not try to put anything through it other than his hand! ha

Next he is sitting in Harly's chair. I bought this chair for her when we moved into this house and it sits at the front window and that is where she stays. She loves to look outside and watch everything that is going. Anyways I have been thinking about getting Jaxon a bean bag or a little chair of his own so I thought I could test this one out and see if he likes it. I was surprised but he did stay in it for a total of maybe 6-8 minutes which for my child if anybody knows him is wonderful. He is a very busy body always on the move and never calm!!!

Okay here he is with his sippy cup. Really he is just chewing on it because he does not like it and really just enjoys playing with it! Watching Praise Baby collection, which I love! Pretty calm- I was shocked!!!

We headed over to a friend's house yesterday afternoon for a cookout. We had fun visiting with everybody.

Yesterday my best friend Brandy, her husband Brandon and their baby Cade (who is only 5 weeks younger than Jaxon) came over for a visit. So Jaxon is now 9 months and Cade is 8 months so they are really starting to pay attention to each other and it is so sweet. Mostly it is hilarious though because Jaxon tries to crawl all over Cade and he also likes to try and bite him ( something we are going to have to work on in the near future). So here are some pics of the boys Look at those pretty blue eyes!

Next is Jaxon playing in my closet, which he loves to do (probably because it is so messy and alot of stuff on the floor to get into). He likes to get in the hanging clothes and hide. Notice he has found one of my sports bras and has managed to get it around his neck and one arm and is wearing it!!!

Canoe Trip

This weekend Josh and I along with three other couples went canoeing. It pretty much took the entire day and then when we got back we cook burgers at our house and had the canoe group over plus about 5 extra. We dropped Jaxon off with my parents Saturday morning and they kept him all day and Saturday night ( which was lovely getting a full nights sleep) and we picked him up on our way to church Sunday morning. We had a really good weekend!

Okay Jaxon's actual birthday was last Thursday the 16th, but I took this pic this weekend and wanted to list what he is doing.

9 months

• Weight: 20 lbs 8oz (50%)
• Length: 31 inches (97%)
• You are still wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes. At this point your length is not an issue in your clothes because you are either in a onsies or shorts. Now that is going to be an different story come the fall, when I have to find pants long enough for you that are not to be in the waist.
• Have two teeth on bottom
• Crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything
• While standing up will let go of whatever you are holding on to and stand for 10 seconds and then fall down.
• Will take a few steps behind a push toy
• Will say "da-da, ma-ma, and will wave bye-bye when you want to. Never ever on Que!!!
• Still not sleeping all night- work in progress! On average waking up 1-2 times a night
• Not fighting sleep hardly at all anymore like you did when you were younger. We will just rock you a little and you are off to sleepy-land
• You have really started liking the great outdoors even in the 100 degree weather. You know when we walk out the door it means we are going outside. You like to stand at the windows and look outside.
• You chase Harly around the living room trying to get her toy when she wants me or daddy to play with her. When you get close to her she will just grab it and run to the other side of the living room.
• Eating some #3 baby foods. Table food that you like- Cheetos, scrambled eggs, crackers
• You are clingy at times and it really all depends on your moods. Sometimes you only want me no matter who we are around and sometimes you really want daddy, poppa, or papaw. You are really cute when you like to act shy and hide your face and not make eye contact with whoever is talking to you!
