Teeth and Necklaces

Well when we went for Jaxon's 9month check up the doc mentioned we needed to start bushing his teeth (both of them!) So below are some pics of us attempting to brush his teeth for the first time. It actually went pretty well he kinda liked it and thought it was fun! He would pull away and then really cautiously leaned back in and open his mouth back up. You will notice there is no toothbrush the little kit came with this thing I put of my finger and some toothpaste.

Next, I have been working on a project that I am finished with. I am really proud of myself because I did not think they would turn out this well. I am going to try and sell them. It has been so far making them. I made five different ones to get started and below are some pics. Let me know what you think of them!

Sleepless Nights are Kicking my butt!!!

For those of you who do not know- Jaxon does not sleep all night!!! Yikes, I know after nine long months I am not sure how much more I can take. I am so exhausted by the weekend that all I want to do is catch up on my sleep. We have tried everything from letting him cry, keeping him up later, feeding him when he wakes and nothing seems to help. He wakes us on average twice a night. He usually will go in 3-4 hour spans. I know that he can sleep all night I just do not know what to do to make this happen. So I welcome any suggestions or helpful hints. Please send them my way!!!

Weekend News

We had a pretty low key weekend. First I got some pics of Jaxon playing with the doggy door. I have been waiting for this day and after nine long months he finally found it. Although I was surprised that he did not try to put anything through it other than his hand! ha

Next he is sitting in Harly's chair. I bought this chair for her when we moved into this house and it sits at the front window and that is where she stays. She loves to look outside and watch everything that is going. Anyways I have been thinking about getting Jaxon a bean bag or a little chair of his own so I thought I could test this one out and see if he likes it. I was surprised but he did stay in it for a total of maybe 6-8 minutes which for my child if anybody knows him is wonderful. He is a very busy body always on the move and never calm!!!

Okay here he is with his sippy cup. Really he is just chewing on it because he does not like it and really just enjoys playing with it! Watching Praise Baby collection, which I love! Pretty calm- I was shocked!!!

We headed over to a friend's house yesterday afternoon for a cookout. We had fun visiting with everybody.

Supper Time!

Yesterday my best friend Brandy, her husband Brandon and their baby Cade (who is only 5 weeks younger than Jaxon) came over for a visit. So Jaxon is now 9 months and Cade is 8 months so they are really starting to pay attention to each other and it is so sweet. Mostly it is hilarious though because Jaxon tries to crawl all over Cade and he also likes to try and bite him ( something we are going to have to work on in the near future). So here are some pics of the boys Look at those pretty blue eyes!

Next is Jaxon playing in my closet, which he loves to do (probably because it is so messy and alot of stuff on the floor to get into). He likes to get in the hanging clothes and hide. Notice he has found one of my sports bras and has managed to get it around his neck and one arm and is wearing it!!!

Canoe Trip

This weekend Josh and I along with three other couples went canoeing. It pretty much took the entire day and then when we got back we cook burgers at our house and had the canoe group over plus about 5 extra. We dropped Jaxon off with my parents Saturday morning and they kept him all day and Saturday night ( which was lovely getting a full nights sleep) and we picked him up on our way to church Sunday morning. We had a really good weekend!

9 month

Okay Jaxon's actual birthday was last Thursday the 16th, but I took this pic this weekend and wanted to list what he is doing.

9 months

• Weight: 20 lbs 8oz (50%)
• Length: 31 inches (97%)
• You are still wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes. At this point your length is not an issue in your clothes because you are either in a onsies or shorts. Now that is going to be an different story come the fall, when I have to find pants long enough for you that are not to be in the waist.
• Have two teeth on bottom
• Crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything
• While standing up will let go of whatever you are holding on to and stand for 10 seconds and then fall down.
• Will take a few steps behind a push toy
• Will say "da-da, ma-ma, and will wave bye-bye when you want to. Never ever on Que!!!
• Still not sleeping all night- work in progress! On average waking up 1-2 times a night
• Not fighting sleep hardly at all anymore like you did when you were younger. We will just rock you a little and you are off to sleepy-land
• You have really started liking the great outdoors even in the 100 degree weather. You know when we walk out the door it means we are going outside. You like to stand at the windows and look outside.
• You chase Harly around the living room trying to get her toy when she wants me or daddy to play with her. When you get close to her she will just grab it and run to the other side of the living room.
• Eating some #3 baby foods. Table food that you like- Cheetos, scrambled eggs, crackers
• You are clingy at times and it really all depends on your moods. Sometimes you only want me no matter who we are around and sometimes you really want daddy, poppa, or papaw. You are really cute when you like to act shy and hide your face and not make eye contact with whoever is talking to you!

A New Look!

Okay as I promised here are some pics of my living room. I re-arranged the love seat and recliner and moved Jaxon glider back to his bedroom. The glider has been in the living room for a long time, but we needed the room in the living room for Jaxon's toys. Now he has a corner that we push all his toys into so that are not all out in the middle. At least it makes me feel like the living room is not a total disaster.

The entertainment Center- One of my favorite things about the living room. I found a similar entertainment center on the Internet and printed it off. When we were building it I gave it to my husband and this is what I got! It looks a lot like the picture- guess that is what you get when you husband and father-n-law are carpenters. Notice the blinds are up on the window to the right, because some little boy likes to stand and look out the windows (wonder who that is)!

I apologize for the next pic for whatever reason I could not get it to post correctly. Not sure what I did. The love seat and recliner are directly across from the couch.

Here is Jaxon in his some new swim trunks. Well I have had this pair of trunks for a really long time but he is just now fitting into them. I actually bought these back about 3 years ago before we were ever even talking about having kids. I found them on a sales rake at Wal-Mart they were $1.50 I could not resist.

Weekend Pictures

Our weekend was nice and relaxing. Friday when I got home from work I decided to re-arrange the living room. I meant to take some pics to post to get feedback but I forgot. I will take some tonight and post them tomorrow. First I have two pics of Jaxon with his 4th of July outfit on that I forgot to post last week. I just can't believe how big his is getting, they grow up so fast. He looks like he is trying to dance! lol

The next pic is of me and Josh Saturday night we went out with a big group of friends.

The men in my life. Jaxon and Josh ready for church Sunday morning. I have left Jaxon in the nursery before (without me staying in there with him) twice I think. Both times he did really well. But not yesterday he cried when I handed him to the nursery worker and then I calmed him down. When I left I heard him cry again and I waited outside the door until he quit and then I went on back into the sanctuary. Then about 15 minutes went by and my number popped up on the screen so I walked really fast back to the nursery and Jaxon had almost made himself sick from crying. Ms. Glenda (sweet sweet nursery worker) said she hated to make me come back and get him but that he was not happy. It was so sad he was all splotchy on his face and his nose was running. It broke my heart! I just hope he does not start this every Sunday. Pray for us that he does better next week! Notice the shoes he wore all of 5 minutes maybe, he HATES shoes!!! and the last two pics are of Jaxon playing in all his toys Sunday afternoon. He likes to sit down and pull the toy box over and drag ever toy out of the box. Adorable!

New Pics!

Okay here are some pics from last week when I got to stay home with the little man. In the first two he has found the window and loves to look outside!

The next two: I caught Jaxon giving Harly some loving the other morning! it was so sweet I looked over and he was patting her on the back and she was just sitting there. Her expression was like "Please make this kid quit hitting me!" Harly does really good with Jaxon sometimes I will catch him pulling her hair or trying to head butt her and she doesn't do a thing just lays there until someone notices and pulls Jaxon off.

I was doing laundry last night and Jaxon was in the utility room with me. When I left to take the clothes into the living room to fold them I put him in the basket and he thought is was funny!

Okay if you saw some of my older posts you know there are some pics of Jaxon and me in front of sunflowers. Well the last one bloomed yesterday and it was the tallest one yet. So to show how tall it really was I made Josh hold Jaxon in front of it. The pic turned out kinda foggy and I am not sure why, but anyways it is crazy at how tall these flowers are!!!
